Musical Babies is for parents and their children aged 0 – 18 months to come along and join us for songs, musical playtime and lots of fun.
Singing and music are great ways to support babies’ language development.
It helps to gain, and hold, their attention – which is essential for listening to the sounds we use in speech. It’s the perfect way to promote parent -baby eye-to-eye contact, which helps babies’ to know that we are listening to them, and teaches them how to give their attention to others. It is also a great way to enjoy the early months with baby.
Learning familiar songs, with actions and gestures, gives an easy way for babbling babies to join in with adult communication – they’ll soon learn to show you their favourite songs!
