ESOL is ‘English for Speakers of Other Languages’.  It is the teaching of English to people whose first language is not English and who live in an English-speaking country.

Classes are at different levels according to the students’ abilities from Pre Entry (Beginners) through Entry level (1, 2 and 3) and Level 1 and 2. ESOL courses work on improving the four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. However, ESOL is much more than just learning English. The classes help people to learn about the culture and everyday life in the UK.

ESOL classes help people to build their confidence and develop their skills so that they can help their children with their school work and become more involved in their local community and wider society.
