Kerenza Palmer – Head of School
Kerenza has worked with young people with special educational needs for nearly 12 years. Kerenza was previously the Deputy Head at St. Paul’s as well as the maths and English teacher for key stage 4. Her experience, prior to joining St Paul’s School included working with SEND students in post 16 education supporting them to gain meaningful work experience opportunities as well as teaching employability skills.
She was also responsible for the management of various departments to include sport, health and social care, Art & Design, IT and functional skills maths, English and IT.
Kerenza also has experience working in post 16 mainstream provision teaching sport, uniformed public services and going on to manage the Travel and Tourism provision. Kerenza is a qualified teacher and holds a post graduate certificate in autism from Birmingham University.
Fiona Bilsborough – Deputy Head of School
Fiona has worked with young people with special needs for over two decades. After finishing a degree in Leisure Management, she began working as a teacher at a large mainstream comprehensive inner city school.
Fiona then moved on to setting up and managing a pupil referral unit accommodating both primary and secondary aged pupils. She then worked as a Curriculum Area Manager first within a secondary school offering vocational subjects and moving onto an SEN College. She has recently completed a Masters in Education for Autism, has extensive experience with pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and attachment issues.
Fiona Started working at St. Paul’s as the Deputy Head in February 2017. She manages the curriculum, behaviour and quality of teaching and learning. She has extensive experience in all three areas.
